  1. Ciaran, this approach makes so much sense. It is very competitive in the NED market but developing a clear purpose and being able to articulate that helps enormously. From a chairman’s perspective you have to be articulate what ‘you are about’ and it makes his or her job a lot easier when it comes to selling you as a NED to join board. Particularly so if you are a lawyer NED!!
